Request a Consultation

You can request a consultation with a lab specialist at any time. There are two methods of requesting a consultation.

Method 1: From the main Consultation page, first select an appropriate specialist. To do this use the drop down menu from “Consultation Topics” to select the appropriate category. Next, click on a name of your choice from the list of available specialists that appears from the category you have selected. When you have decided upon a specialist, click the  button on their bio page to proceed.
Method 2: While viewing any single lab report, simply click on the "Actions…" drop-down arrow, and choose "Consultation", as shown below.

A form will be displayed into which you can enter pertinent information about the case. Be sure to provide as much information as possible. You may choose specialty fields and specialty consultants from the provided drop-down boxes, as indicated with an arrow () in the image below. Enter case-sensitive questions or notes in the "Nature of Consultation" field.

Note: You are not required to reference a specific lab test…

::Using Method 1, you may leave the "Test reference no." field blank. Be sure to enter some information about the nature of your request in the "Comments" field.

::Using Method 2, the "Requesting Veterinarian" and "Test reference no." fields will be automatically filled in for you. With a test reference number, it is less necessary to enter additional information in the comments field.

Click "Submit Request" to process your consultation request, as shown above.
